Aluminium sliding doors in Theydon Bois

Around Theydon Bois you will mostly find Victorian cottages, interwar detached houses and post-war homes. In Victorian side-return extensions, a two or three-panel sliding door gives wide views while staying practical in narrow gardens where swinging doors would get in the way.

For 1930s semis with rear extensions, sliding doors keep sightlines clean across the garden and avoid bifold panel stacks taking up patio space. Larger detached homes can use multi-panel sliding doors across wide rear openings, but structural steelwork and drainage need careful planning before installation.

Planning rules near the green and forest can be stricter than in suburban streets, so we check before quoting. We are about 7.5 miles from our Edmonton factory and handle surveys, manufacturing and fitting ourselves.

Sliding patio doors use large glass panels that glide along a track, opening up a rear wall without taking any space inside or out. Made with slim aluminium frames, they suit kitchen extensions, living rooms and modern homes where owners want maximum glass, views and daylight.

• Large panes with slim aluminium frames
• Slides open without swinging into rooms
• Low threshold options for easier access
