Aluminium sliding doors in Waltham Abbey

Around Waltham Abbey you will mostly find period town-centre houses, interwar semis and post-war estates. On period homes in conservation areas, rear sliding doors are often acceptable where hidden from the street, but confirm with the council before ordering.

For 1930s semis with rear extensions, sliding doors keep sightlines clean across the garden and avoid bifold panel stacks taking up patio space. Modern homes and new builds suit wide sliding doors in grey or black, and choosing a low threshold helps link the kitchen floor with the patio.

Period properties in the centre need windows designed to suit their age, while homes near the motorway often benefit from acoustic glazing. Narrow streets in the old town can make van access tricky, so we check this at the survey. Our Edmonton factory is about 5.6 miles away, a short drive across the Lee Valley.

Sliding patio doors use large glass panels that glide along a track, opening up a rear wall without taking any space inside or out. Made with slim aluminium frames, they suit kitchen extensions, living rooms and modern homes where owners want maximum glass, views and daylight.
