Preparing for a new installation
A few simple things you can do before fitting day to help everything go smoothly.
Before fitting day
- Clear a space of about a metre inside each window or door we are replacing, and take down blinds, curtains and poles.
- Move fragile ornaments and pictures away from the walls near the openings.
- Let us know about parking, access, alarms or anything we should be careful of, such as pets or a home office.
- If you have a burglar alarm with sensors on windows or doors, tell your alarm company — sensors may need to be refitted.
On the day
We protect floors and furniture with dust sheets and replace one opening at a time, so your home is never left open. At the end of each day we clean up and take the old frames away for recycling.
