Aluminium windows in Theydon Bois

Homes in Theydon Bois are mostly Victorian cottages, interwar detached houses and post-war homes. On Victorian and Edwardian homes, aluminium windows work well in rear extensions, where slim frames tie in neatly with matching aluminium sliding or bifold doors.

Many 1930s homes originally had Crittall-style steel windows, and slim aluminium frames with glazing bars can reflect that look with far better insulation. Larger detached homes can use aluminium for big feature windows and gable glazing, where the frame's strength supports wide panes without bulky mullions.

Planning rules near the green and forest can be stricter than in suburban streets, so we check before quoting. We are about 7.5 miles from our Edmonton factory and handle surveys, manufacturing and fitting ourselves.

Aluminium windows use strong, slim frames that let more glass and daylight into a room, with powder-coated finishes in a wide range of colours. They suit modern homes, extensions and renovations, and owners of older properties wanting slim sightlines that echo original steel windows.

• Slim frames for more glass and daylight
