Flush windows in Hackney Wick

Around Hackney Wick you will mostly find converted warehouses, canalside apartments and new-build flats. On modern homes, flush windows in anthracite grey or black give a sleek, architectural look that pairs well with aluminium doors and rendered walls.

Before choosing flush windows in a flat, confirm the freeholder accepts the colour and profile, since mixed styles across a block can breach lease terms. Flush windows suit Victorian rear elevations and back additions, giving a cleaner joinery look than storm casements while sash windows stay on the front.

Nearly every home here is a flat, so the first step is approval from the freeholder or managing agent, and we prepare the technical details they ask for. Tight canalside access is planned at the survey. The Wick is about 4.6 miles from our Edmonton factory.

Flush windows have opening sashes that sit level with the outer frame, recreating the look of traditional timber casements. Made in our own factory, they suit homeowners who want a heritage or contemporary appearance with the low maintenance of a modern frame, especially on period homes and stylish renovations.

• Sashes close flush like traditional joinery
• Available in woodgrain and colour finishes
• Balanced sightlines across the whole window
