Flush windows in Upper Clapton

Around Upper Clapton you will mostly find Victorian terraces, larger villas, mansion blocks and post-war estates. Flush windows suit Victorian rear elevations and back additions, giving a cleaner joinery look than storm casements while sash windows stay on the front.

On modern homes, flush windows in anthracite grey or black give a sleek, architectural look that pairs well with aluminium doors and rendered walls. In conservation areas, a flush window in a woodgrain finish can come closer to original joinery than standard uPVC, although council approval may still be needed.

Mansion-block and converted flats usually need the freeholder's agreement first, and we can help you prepare what they ask for. Facing Upper Clapton Road? Its buses run late, and acoustic laminated glass takes the edge off. The journey from our workshop is around 3 miles.

Flush windows have opening sashes that sit level with the outer frame, recreating the look of traditional timber casements. Made in our own factory, they suit homeowners who want a heritage or contemporary appearance with the low maintenance of a modern frame, especially on period homes and stylish renovations.

• Sashes close flush like traditional joinery
• Low maintenance without repainting
• Balanced sightlines across the whole window
