Aluminium windows in Hackney Wick

Around Hackney Wick you will mostly find converted warehouses, canalside apartments and new-build flats. Contemporary homes suit aluminium windows in grey or black, and floor-to-ceiling fixed panes alongside opening casements can greatly increase natural light.

In flats and mansion blocks, aluminium may already be the specified material, so confirm frame colour and profile with the managing agent before arranging a survey. On Victorian and Edwardian homes, aluminium windows work well in rear extensions, where slim frames tie in neatly with matching aluminium sliding or bifold doors.

Nearly every home here is a flat, so the first step is approval from the freeholder or managing agent, and we prepare the technical details they ask for. Tight canalside access is planned at the survey. The Wick is about 4.6 miles from our Edmonton factory.

Aluminium windows use strong, slim frames that let more glass and daylight into a room, with powder-coated finishes in a wide range of colours. They suit modern homes, extensions and renovations, and owners of older properties wanting slim sightlines that echo original steel windows.

• Slim frames for more glass and daylight
• Durable powder-coated colour finishes
• Thermally broken frames for better insulation
