Flush windows in East Barnet

The housing in East Barnet is largely 1930s semis with bay windows, Victorian cottages and low-rise flats. Flush windows suit Victorian rear elevations and back additions, giving a cleaner joinery look than storm casements while sash windows stay on the front.

Cottages and larger detached homes often suit flush windows in cream or woodgrain finishes, which soften the frame and sit well against brick, stone or render. Before choosing flush windows in a flat, confirm the freeholder accepts the colour and profile, since mixed styles across a block can breach lease terms.

Driveways are common on the semis, which makes access easy on fitting day. At around 5.7 miles from our Edmonton workshop, we can survey, make and install with one team and come back quickly if anything needs adjusting.

Flush windows have opening sashes that sit level with the outer frame, recreating the look of traditional timber casements. Made in our own factory, they suit homeowners who want a heritage or contemporary appearance with the low maintenance of a modern frame, especially on period homes and stylish renovations.

• Sashes close flush like traditional joinery
• Low maintenance without repainting
• Balanced sightlines across the whole window
