Flush windows in Monken Hadley

Homes in Monken Hadley are mostly Georgian and older houses, cottages and large detached homes around the green. In conservation areas, a flush window in a woodgrain finish can come closer to original joinery than standard uPVC, although council approval may still be needed.

Cottages and larger detached homes often suit flush windows in cream or woodgrain finishes, which soften the frame and sit well against brick, stone or render. For landlords upgrading period conversions, flush windows can satisfy owners wanting a heritage look while keeping long-term maintenance lower than painted timber.

The Monken Hadley conservation area is managed by Barnet Council, so we talk through the design and any consent needed before quoting. The village is about 7.7 miles from our Edmonton workshop, and the narrow lanes mean we plan van parking with you in advance.

Flush windows have opening sashes that sit level with the outer frame, recreating the look of traditional timber casements. Made in our own factory, they suit homeowners who want a heritage or contemporary appearance with the low maintenance of a modern frame, especially on period homes and stylish renovations.

• Sashes close flush like traditional joinery
• Available in woodgrain and colour finishes
• Balanced sightlines across the whole window
