Flush windows in New Southgate

The housing in New Southgate is largely Victorian terraces, interwar semis, council estates and converted hospital flats. Flush windows suit Victorian rear elevations and back additions, giving a cleaner joinery look than storm casements while sash windows stay on the front.

On 1930s bays, flush casements with slim mullions can reflect the original metal or timber windows more closely than chunky storm-style frames. Before choosing flush windows in a flat, confirm the freeholder accepts the colour and profile, since mixed styles across a block can breach lease terms.

Noise is the common thread. The North Circular cuts straight through the area and the East Coast Main Line runs past the station, so acoustic laminated glazing is one of the most requested options. Flats need freeholder consent, and we confirm which council covers your home before quoting. New Southgate is about 4 miles west of our Edmonton factory.

Flush windows have opening sashes that sit level with the outer frame, recreating the look of traditional timber casements. Made in our own factory, they suit homeowners who want a heritage or contemporary appearance with the low maintenance of a modern frame, especially on period homes and stylish renovations.

• Sashes close flush like traditional joinery
• Available in woodgrain and colour finishes
• Low maintenance without repainting
