Aluminium sliding doors in Brondesbury

Homes in Brondesbury are mostly large Victorian and Edwardian villas, converted flats and smaller terraces. In Victorian side-return extensions, a two or three-panel sliding door gives wide views while staying practical in narrow gardens where swinging doors would get in the way.

Sliding doors suit flats opening onto balconies or terraces because they do not swing, but check freeholder consent and drainage at the threshold first. On period homes in conservation areas, rear sliding doors are often acceptable where hidden from the street, but confirm with the council before ordering.

Brent Council protects parts of Brondesbury with conservation area rules, so we check the guidance for your street before quoting. In converted villas, the freeholder may need to agree to changes on the front. Homes near Willesden Lane or the Overground line may benefit from acoustic glazing. We are about 8.2 miles away.

Sliding patio doors use large glass panels that glide along a track, opening up a rear wall without taking any space inside or out. Made with slim aluminium frames, they suit kitchen extensions, living rooms and modern homes where owners want maximum glass, views and daylight.

• Slides open without swinging into rooms
• Maximises views and natural light
