Aluminium sliding doors in Harlesden

Homes in Harlesden are mostly Victorian and Edwardian terraces, converted flats and housing association blocks. In Victorian side-return extensions, a two or three-panel sliding door gives wide views while staying practical in narrow gardens where swinging doors would get in the way.

Sliding doors suit flats opening onto balconies or terraces because they do not swing, but check freeholder consent and drainage at the threshold first. For restaurants, cafés and offices, sliding doors save floor space and give an open frontage onto terraces, though accessibility and escape routes must still be considered.

Willesden Junction and the main lines towards Euston run close to parts of Harlesden, and road traffic is heavy around Craven Park Road and Station Road. Acoustic glass makes a difference for bedrooms facing these. Some streets are in a Brent conservation area, so we check that before we quote, and we arrange parking for the fitting team in advance.

Sliding patio doors use large glass panels that glide along a track, opening up a rear wall without taking any space inside or out. Made with slim aluminium frames, they suit kitchen extensions, living rooms and modern homes where owners want maximum glass, views and daylight.
