Flush windows in Loughton

The housing in Loughton is largely Victorian and Edwardian villas, interwar semis and post-war estates. Flush windows suit Victorian rear elevations and back additions, giving a cleaner joinery look than storm casements while sash windows stay on the front.

On 1930s bays, flush casements with slim mullions can reflect the original metal or timber windows more closely than chunky storm-style frames. On modern homes, flush windows in anthracite grey or black give a sleek, architectural look that pairs well with aluminium doors and rendered walls.

Period villas often suit sash-style or flush casements, while newer houses lean towards slim aluminium or uPVC windows and bifold doors to the garden. Overhanging trees mean shade, leaves and damp, so low-maintenance frames make sense. Loughton is about 5.6 miles from our Edmonton factory, so a home survey is simple to arrange.

Flush windows have opening sashes that sit level with the outer frame, recreating the look of traditional timber casements. Made in our own factory, they suit homeowners who want a heritage or contemporary appearance with the low maintenance of a modern frame, especially on period homes and stylish renovations.

• Sashes close flush like traditional joinery
• Low maintenance without repainting
• Balanced sightlines across the whole window
