Double glazing in EN2

Many Victorian terraces still have single-glazed sashes, and moving to double glazing is often the biggest single comfort upgrade, whether through new windows or secondary glazing.

Original 1930s leaded lights can be replicated within double glazed units, so you keep the decorative pattern while gaining modern insulation and quieter rooms. Detached homes have more external walls and windows losing heat, so upgrading every window to modern double glazing at once gives consistent comfort throughout.

Double glazing uses two panes of glass with a sealed, insulating gap between them, cutting heat loss, draughts and condensation compared with single glazing.
