Aluminium bifold doors in Palmers Green

Around Palmers Green you will mostly find Edwardian terraces, 1930s semis and mansion flats around Green Lanes. On Victorian side-return extensions, a three-panel bifold with a traffic door works well, giving everyday access without folding back the whole set.

1930s semis with full-width rear extensions suit four or five-panel bifolds, but allow enough patio space for where the panels stack when fully open. Bifolds suit ground-floor flats and maisonettes with gardens, but check the lease and get freeholder approval, as alterations to external walls are often restricted.

Green Lanes and the North Circular carry heavy traffic past many homes, so we often suggest acoustic laminated glass for rooms facing them. The streets around Broomfield Park are some of the most intact Edwardian roads in Enfield, and keeping the original bay shapes and door surrounds is what makes a replacement look right.

Bifold doors are made of several panels that fold and stack neatly to one side, opening almost the full width of a wall to the garden. With slim aluminium frames, they suit kitchen extensions, garden rooms and homes where owners want a seamless link between indoor and outdoor living.
