Casement windows in Chiswick

Homes in Chiswick are mostly Victorian and Edwardian terraces, Queen Anne style houses and Georgian riverside homes. Rear extensions and back additions on Victorian terraces often suit casements, and choosing a flush or storm style lets you balance a traditional look against budget.

Where a conservation area expects slim traditional joinery, a flush casement with putty-style beads looks closer to the original than a standard storm casement.

Bedford Park, Strand on the Green and the riverside are conservation areas, and Hounslow Council expects replacements to match the original designs closely. Away from those, owners have more freedom and often add aluminium doors at the rear. Noise is a common complaint: the A4 Great West Road, the Hogarth Roundabout and aircraft heading into Heathrow all affect parts of Chiswick, so acoustic glazing is worth discussing.

Casement windows are hinged at the side or top and open outwards, making them the most common window style in British homes. We make them to measure in uPVC and aluminium, and they suit almost any property, from terraces and semis to flats and modern houses.
