Aluminium sliding doors in Arkley

The housing in Arkley is largely detached houses on large plots, cottages and some semi-detached homes. Larger detached homes can use multi-panel sliding doors across wide rear openings, but structural steelwork and drainage need careful planning before installation.

For 1930s semis with rear extensions, sliding doors keep sightlines clean across the garden and avoid bifold panel stacks taking up patio space. On period homes in conservation areas, rear sliding doors are often acceptable where hidden from the street, but confirm with the council before ordering.

Arkley is about 8.4 miles from our Edmonton factory. Much of the land is green belt, and some properties are listed or near conservation areas, so we check with Barnet Council before quoting on extensions or changes to openings.

Sliding patio doors use large glass panels that glide along a track, opening up a rear wall without taking any space inside or out. Made with slim aluminium frames, they suit kitchen extensions, living rooms and modern homes where owners want maximum glass, views and daylight.
