Aluminium windows in Notting Hill

The housing in Notting Hill is largely stucco terraces, Victorian villas, mews houses and converted flats. On Victorian and Edwardian homes, aluminium windows work well in rear extensions, where slim frames tie in neatly with matching aluminium sliding or bifold doors.

In flats and mansion blocks, aluminium may already be the specified material, so confirm frame colour and profile with the managing agent before arranging a survey. Where original steel windows survive in a conservation area, discuss slim aluminium replacements with the council early, as matching sightlines strongly affects whether they are acceptable.

We can match glazing bars, horns and colours closely to existing windows, and we provide product details for Kensington & Chelsea planning applications when they are needed.

Aluminium windows use strong, slim frames that let more glass and daylight into a room, with powder-coated finishes in a wide range of colours. They suit modern homes, extensions and renovations, and owners of older properties wanting slim sightlines that echo original steel windows.

• Slim frames for more glass and daylight
• Thermally broken frames for better insulation
• Strong enough for large glazed openings
